Profile Overview
This is an opportunity to lead one of our growing brands as its next CEO: a high-momentum B2B SaaS business with an enviable position in its category, exceptional brand visibility, and real commercial momentum, now at an inflection point with major new growth bets coming to life. The brand's previous CEO took the reins from the founders when the company was still small and drove a period of significant growth, leaving the business well positioned, highly visible, and ready for its next chapter. We're looking for a CEO with the energy, conviction, and strategic clarity to set and own that next vision: to build on a strong base and well established brand, move upmarket, deepen the product, and define what the category leader looks like for the next several years. You'll own the brand's P&L, strategy, growth, culture, and overall performance, working closely with the saas.group leadership team, your board sponsor, and the broader community.
Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be:
- Running a smooth handover with the outgoing CEO and building direct, trusted relationships with the leadership team and the wider team.
- Developing and landing a clear point of view on the brand's next strategic chapter, validated with your board sponsor.
- Lifting product velocity and shipping cadence, turning early momentum into a consistent delivery rhythm and moving adoption of a key new product in the right direction.
- Bringing a major new growth initiative to market as a credible, durable new growth vector.
Your responsibilities
- Define and own a bold, multi year vision for the brand, aligning with saas.group objectives while staying sharply aware of a fast moving, competitive market.
- Lead the upmarket motion: evolve positioning, product, and go to market to win larger customers while protecting the simplicity and ease of use that has always defined the product.
- Set the bar on product velocity and shipping cadence, ensuring the team consistently delivers capabilities.
- Scale our newest growth engines from early traction into durable, material revenue streams.
- Own commercial performance end to end: drive new revenue across PLG, inbound, and sales led motions, and treat retention and revenue as first order priorities.
- Drive operational excellence: own the P&L, build budgets, track the KPIs that matter, and put in place the processes that let the business scale efficiently.
- Foster innovation by spotting disruptive trends (including AI, both as a customer segment and as a tool), experimenting with new business models, and making data driven bets.
- Build, coach, and retain a high performing, fully remote leadership team, champion a strong culture aligned with saas.group values, and represent the brand externally with customers, partners, and the wider PLG SaaS community.
What you bring to the table
- Proven leadership as a CEO, GM, or senior executive in a B2B PLG SaaS company, with a strong track record of driving growth and building enduring businesses.
- A demonstrated ability to craft and execute strategy across PLG, sales led, and partnership motions, with the judgment to make decisive market and product calls.
- Experience scaling a product through an upmarket transition, balancing enterprise grade depth with a simple, lovable user experience.
- A bias toward shipping: you know how to set a high product velocity and hold a team to a healthy, sustainable pace of delivery.
- Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L responsibility. Comfort with the dynamics of payments, payouts, and fintech adjacent product lines is a strong plus.
- Fluency with the SaaS PLG growth toolkit, and ideally the fast moving AI customer segment we serve.
- A talent magnet and strong people leader: skilled at hiring, developing, and retaining top performers remotely, setting goals, holding teams accountable, addressing performance decisively, and communicating a compelling vision to internal and external audiences.
- AI literacy and application: you actively use AI tools to sharpen your productivity and quality of work, stay curious about emerging capabilities, and find pragmatic ways to apply AI day to day. Excellent communication, with fluency in English.
What's in it for you
- Ultimate flexibility: We're 100% remote. You can work from wherever you like, whenever you like.
- Freedom and autonomy: We're a high trust team, and you'll have lots of flexibility to solve problems your own way, with plenty of help from the team when you need it.
- Minimum bureaucracy: We don't like to get bogged down with meetings and red tape. We like to be efficient and keep momentum steady and sustainable.
- Small and friendly team: We help each other out, have fun, and joke around.
- Our network: We're a community of entrepreneurial SaaS professionals who regularly exchange ideas, knowledge, learning, and expertise with each other internally.
- Flexible time off: We want you to recharge your batteries when needed.
We don't just simply offer you to “take a job with us” but rather to “join us on this journey” to build the world's largest platform of independent SaaS companies.
Sounds like something you're up for? Feel free to apply even if you don't check all these boxes. We believe in the power of diversity and fresh perspectives to spice up our team. Your application might just be the missing ingredient!

Expert Career Tips for Chief Executive Officer Roles
To succeed in a competitive market as a Chief Executive Officer, you need more than just technical skills. Here are some expert strategies to elevate your profile:
- Build a Strong Portfolio: For technical roles, a clean GitHub or a personal project site is essential. For non-technical roles, a case study portfolio demonstrating problem-solving and impact is equally valuable. Show, don't just tell, what you have achieved in your previous positions.
- Master the Narrative: When interviewing, use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers. Quantify your results wherever possible—mentioning "increased efficiency by 20%" is much more impactful than saying "improved efficiency."
- Continuous Learning: The industry moves fast. Whether it's staying updated with the latest AI tools or mastering a new management methodology, continuous professional development is key. Consider obtaining industry-recognized certifications that align with Chief Executive Officer requirements.
- Networking: Connect with other professionals in similar roles. Join online communities, attend webinars, and engage in meaningful discussions on professional social networks. Often, the best opportunities come through referrals and community engagement.
- Soft Skills Matter: Communication, empathy, and leadership are often the deciding factors between two equally qualified technical candidates. Cultivate these skills as they are universally valued across all industries and seniority levels.
Additionally, research the specific company's culture and values. Tailoring your application to show how you align with their mission can significantly increase your chances of moving forward in the process.

Comprehensive Application Strategy & Hiring Process
Applying for a new role is a marathon, not a sprint. Follow this strategic approach to maximize your success rate:
1. Initial Research & Tailoring
Don't send the same resume to every employer. Spend at least 30 minutes researching the company. Look for recent news, their product roadmap, and their team structure. Modify your summary and core competencies to reflect the specific keywords found in the job description.
2. The Perfect Cover Letter
If the application allows for a cover letter, use it to tell a story that your resume cannot. Explain why you are passionate about this specific company and how your unique background makes you the perfect fit for the challenges they are currently facing.
3. Navigating the Multi-Stage Interview
Most modern hiring processes involve 3-5 stages. This typically includes a recruiter screen, a technical or skill-based assessment, a peer interview, and a final leadership round. Prepare for each stage differently: focus on enthusiasm and fit for the recruiter, technical depth for the assessment, and strategic vision for the leadership round.
4. Post-Interview Follow-Up
Always send a personalized thank-you note within 24 hours of each interview. Reference a specific topic discussed during the call to demonstrate your active listening and genuine interest in the role.
By following these steps, you demonstrate a high level of professionalism and attention to detail that sets you apart from the average applicant.

Global Market Intelligence & Relocation Insights
At JobSetuu, we specialize in helping talent navigate the global job market. Here is what you need to know about the current landscape in Global and beyond:
The demand for skilled professionals is increasingly borderless. For roles based in Global, understanding the local cost of living, visa requirements (if applicable), and cultural nuances is vital. If this is a remote role, consider the time zone alignment and the asynchronous communication culture of the hiring organization.
Relocation Support: Many forward-thinking companies offer relocation packages that include moving stipends, temporary housing, and legal assistance with work permits. When evaluating an offer, look beyond the base salary—consider the total compensation package, including equity, bonuses, and healthcare benefits.
Work-Life Balance Trends: Hybrid and remote work have become standard in many regions. Research the local labor laws and common practices regarding work hours and vacation time to ensure the role aligns with your lifestyle goals.
Leveraging JobSetuu's tools can help you compare salaries across different cities and understand the "purchasing power" of your potential offer, ensuring you make an informed decision for your long-term career path.
Skills & Competency Roadmap for Professional Development
To remain competitive in Professional Development, we recommend focusing on the following core competencies over the next 12-18 months:
- Technical Mastery: Deepen your expertise in the core tools and languages relevant to your field. For developers, this might be cloud architecture; for marketers, it might be data-driven attribution modeling.
- AI Augmentation: Learn how to leverage generative AI and automation tools to increase your productivity. Understanding how to integrate these technologies into your workflow is becoming a non-negotiable skill.
- Leadership & Strategy: Even in individual contributor roles, the ability to think strategically and lead projects from inception to completion is highly valued. Focus on stakeholder management and high-level project planning.
- Data Literacy: The ability to interpret data and use it to drive decisions is essential across all business functions. Familiarize yourself with data visualization and basic analytical concepts.
By investing in these areas, you not only prepare yourself for the role you are applying for today but also build a resilient foundation for the opportunities of tomorrow.
