Description
The Health & Services Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Tester (Functional / QA Engineer). The customer is primarily located in the Washington DC area but the position is telework. This is an exciting opposition to help shape the future technology roadmap for a large government agency.
Primary Responsibilities. In this role, you will be supporting quality assurance activities for system development and data migration efforts. The selected candidate will assist in validating system functionality, performance, and integration to ensure alignment with project requirements. Specifics include but not limited to:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand, gather, and document business requirements.
- Application Design & Development: Design, configure, and build Pega applications, including case management, workflows, user interfaces, and business logic using Pega tools (App Studio, Dev Studio).
- System Integration: Implement integration points with databases, web services (REST/SOAP), and legacy systems to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform unit and integration testing, debug applications, and support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet quality standards and performance requirements.
- Documentation & Maintenance: Create and maintain documentation of application design, configurations, and system changes. Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance existing workflows.
- Best Practices & Collaboration: Ensure all work adheres to Pega development best practices and guardrails, and actively participate in team meetings and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Basic Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience) and at least 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Applicable experience includes the following:
- Developing and executing test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing
- Supporting system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect validation
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution
- Validating data integrity and support data migration testing efforts
- Collaborating with development and business teams to clarify requirements and expected outcomes
- Maintaining test documentation, test results, and traceability matrices
- Working with enterprise application testing and SDLC processes
- Exposure and knowledge of test management tools and defect tracking systems
- Applying basic SQL knowledge for data validation

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
