Senior Full-Stack Developer Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a senior full-stack developer to join our dynamic team at our San Francisco headquarters. This role will require a combination of technical expertise and strategic thinking, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both front-end and back-end development, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and implement software applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, create detailed design documents, and maintain project documentation.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and industry standards.
- Test applications to ensure quality and reliability, and identify potential issues.
- Work with the engineering manager to set realistic project milestones and timelines.
- Communicate effectively with the team and management to explain project progress and any challenges encountered.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack development.
- Strong understanding of modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
- Proficient in front-end frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or React Native.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
- Experience with API development and RESTful design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
