Job Overview
As a Key Account Manager at Acquia, you will play a vital role in driving strategic partnerships across North America. Your primary responsibility will be to champion and grow our strategic business relationships with top-tier clients, providing unparalleled customer support and advocacy. You will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, business users, and procurement teams to ensure long-term partnership success.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Growth: Proactively identify and negotiate new opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain deep, mutually beneficial relationships with clients, key business users, and procurement teams to support ongoing collaboration and strategic partnerships.
- Retention & Renewals: Partner closely with dedicated Renewal Managers to ensure smooth renewal experiences, resolving issues proactively and optimizing the customer journey, thereby reducing churn risk.
- Customer Advocacy: Act as the customer's internal advocate within Acquia, collaborating with Sales, Technical Support, and Finance teams to resolve issues and enhance the customer experience.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement territory plans that prioritize both account retention and lifetime value (LTV) to maximize revenue growth.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure accurate forecasting and comprehensive account documentation by maintaining rigorous hygiene within Salesforce and other CRM tools.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Account Management or Success roles, specifically selling/managing complex cloud or SaaS solutions for large enterprises.
- Expansion Track Record: A proven history of owning and exceeding sales quotas, with a strong focus on growing revenue within existing accounts.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver on customer needs.
- Self-Starter Mentality: Thrive in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment, driving account strategy proactively with minimal oversight.
- Analytical Rigor: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple systems, and navigate complex procurement cycles.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Salesforce.com and Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive) is a requirement.

Final Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will be determined by a variety of factors, including city of residence, relevant skillset, and job-related knowledge.
