In this role, you will work as a Machine Learning Engineer to explore new methods, challenge existing metrics or protocols, and develop new insightful practices that will transform how we understand data and overcome real-world ML challenges. You will be responsible for developing and implementing techniques for creating high-quality synthetic datasets across various domains, including vision, text, and audio data. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize training foundation models for large-scale AI experiments.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on developing and evaluating ML applications, understanding and improving data quality, and staying updated with the latest research and industry trends. You will be required to demonstrate a strong publication record in relevant conferences, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc. You will also be responsible for developing pipelines and tools to automate synthetic data generation for large-scale AI experiments.
This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and evaluating ML applications and demonstrated experience in understanding and improving data quality. You should also have a strong publication record in relevant conferences. You will be expected to have a strong problem-solving and communication skills, as well as experience in developing and training large language models or image/video generation models.
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD or MS degree in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. You should also have a strong understanding of multi-modal foundation models and be up-to-date with emerging trends in generative AI and multi-modal LLMs. In addition, you should have a strong programming background and experience using languages such as Python, PyTorch, or Jax.
This role offers a competitive base pay range of 4,700 to 4,800, with base pay determined within a range. You will have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
