Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust billing applications and features, utilizing Java 25 for application logic development.
- Implement and manage highly concurrent, multi-threaded application logic to ensure efficient memory usage and system stability.
- Own the infrastructure tasks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintenance of our systems.
- Utilize and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Bigtable) to handle evolving data requirements.
- Design and maintain high-quality API integrations, following modern standards like Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Implement and manage solutions within cloud environments (GCP preferred).
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong command of Java and AI coding tools.
- A structured mindset, able to break down complex problems, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and design clean, well-architected solutions.
- Proven experience in async environments and multi-threaded application logic, a key skill for the billing and invoice generation systems.
- Experience in taking ownership of infrastructure and ensuring system scalability and reliability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of identifying root causes of issues.
- Strong collaboration skills, clear communication, and experience with Git, continuous deployment pipelines (like GitLab), and agile practices like monthly scope planning and regular code reviews.
