Du übernimmst die fachliche und disziplinarische Führung eines cross-funktionalen Engineering-Teams und verantwortest die erfolgreiche Delivery entlang unserer Produktziele. Dein Verantwortungsbereich:

Leadership & Team-Performance

• Du verantwortest Aufbau, Führung und Weiterentwicklung der Entwickler*innen im Team, mit klarem Fokus auf Outcomes, Qualität und nachhaltige Delivery.
• Du coachst Engineers (fachlich & persönlich), setzt Wachstumspläne auf und etablierst wirkungsvolle Feedback- und Performance-Routinen.
• Du stärkst eine kollaborative, motivierende Teamkultur mit Ownership, psychologischer Sicherheit und hoher Qualitätsorientierung.

Produkt & Delivery

• Du arbeitest eng mit Product, Design, Content und Technical Leader*innen an Roadmap, Priorisierung und Umsetzung – und übersetzt Ziele in realistische Pläne.
• Du gestaltest Arbeitsabläufe, agile Rituale und Qualitätsstandards kontinuierlich weiter (z. B. DoR/DoD, Release-Prozesse, Incident-Learnings).
• Du stellst sicher, dass technische Entscheidungen, Abhängigkeiten und Risiken transparent sind – und steuerst aktiv auf Lösungen zu.

Hiring & Scaling

• Du hast Erfahrung im Hiring, Entwerfen von Onboarding-Prozessen und der fachlichen Weiterentwicklung von Software-Entwickler*innen.
• Du baust Strukturen, die Skalierung ermöglichen (z. B. Rollen-/Leveling-Klarheit, klare Verantwortlichkeiten, Wissensmanagement).

AI & Innovation

• Du identifizierst sinnvolle Einsatzfelder für KI im Engineering (z. B. Assistenzfunktionen, Automatisierung, Developer Productivity) und befähigst dein Team, diese verantwortungsvoll umzusetzen.

Stellenanforderungen

Mehrjährige Erfahrung als Engineering Manager (gn) oder (Staff-)Teamlead in agilen Software-Teams – inklusive People Leadership.

• Nachweisbare Erfahrung in Hiring, Onboarding und der Weiterentwicklung von Engineers (Coaching, Feedback, Growth Frameworks).
• Praxis in größeren Web-Development-Projekten, idealerweise mit Ruby on Rails.
• Solide Programmierkenntnisse (bevorzugt in Ruby und/oder JavaScript) - genug, um Architektur- und Code-Qualitätsdiskussionen kompetent zu führen.
• Sehr gutes Verständnis von Software-Development-Prozessen, Testing, Deployment und moderner Delivery-Kultur.
• Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse (min. C2)
• Du brennst für AI-Entwicklung und willst dein Team mit pragmatischen, wertstiftenden Use Cases nach vorne bringen.
