1KOMMA5°, a pioneering company dedicated to renewable energy innovation, seeks a Senior Product Manager for Heartbeat. This role aims to shape and implement the future of energy management systems, focusing on the integration and optimization of solar, batteries, heat pumps, AC, and electric vehicle (EV) charging technologies.
As a Senior Product Manager for Heartbeat, you will lead the development and deployment of the Energy Management System (EMS) that ensures the efficient and sustainable use of energy in households. Your primary focus will be on setting the strategic direction of the product, ensuring alignment with other product managers, and maintaining the reliability and scalability of the system across diverse markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing the product strategy for the Energy Management System, determining its evolution and integration across markets.
- Leading and collaborating with other Product Managers to ensure alignment and guidance on roadmaps.
- Ensuring reliability as a key product outcome, enabling households to depend on the system consistently.
- Optimizing and maximizing the value of energy usage across different systems, including solar, batteries, heat pumps, and EV charging, to minimize wasted energy.
- Writing specifications, conducting discovery, prioritizing features, and shipping products.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Product Management, specifically in Energy Management Systems, IoT, embedded/edge systems, or similar control technologies.
- A proven track record of owning and driving the evolution of a critical system that impacts other product areas.
- Experience in guiding other Product Managers and demonstrating effective line management.
- Strong experience in shipping reliability and system scalability, with a proven track record of shipping highly reliable and scalable products.
- Expert knowledge of technical depths such as HEMS, inverter/battery/EV control, Modbus, OTA, and gateway security.
To succeed in this role, you should be fluent in English (German is a strong plus). Based in Germany.

- Expertise in optimizing HEMS, inverter/battery/EV control, Modbus, OTA, gateway security, optimization, forecasting, and dispatch systems.
- Experience in shipping an Energy Management System across multiple countries.
- Line management of Product Managers.
