Hey folks,
We’re seeking a **Junior Project Manager** to support the delivery of data models and Business Intelligence solutions. In this role, you will coordinate projects across technical and business teams, track timelines and budgets, manage Jira boards, support Agile/Scrum processes, and help ensure projects are delivered successfully and on time.
**Good fit if you have the following requirements:**
* 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, IT support, or a related field, or demonstrated passion and aptitude for project management.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
* Experience or familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or GitLab.
* Basic understanding of Business Intelligence, data management, and data warehouses; BigQuery familiarity is a plus.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong willingness to learn and develop knowledge of Data/AI platforms.
* PMP, Agile Scrum Master, or similar certification/knowledge is beneficial.
**What you’ll be doing / Performance Objectives:**
* Manage and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of data models supporting self-service Business Intelligence.
* Support requirements gathering for new data ingestion and business data needs.
* Monitor project milestones, timelines, and critical paths to support on-time delivery.
* Track actual spend against planned budgets and flag variances early.
* Support resource capacity planning and coordinate resources based on project needs.
* Serve as the primary administrator for Jira boards, ensuring developer tasks are accurately captured, assigned, and updated.
* Maintain backlog hygiene and track team velocity.
* Act as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure tasks are appropriately delegated and completed.
* Identify potential project bottlenecks and maintain a live risk register with mitigation plans.
* Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retrospectives.
* Promote continuous improvement and analyze project performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Prepare regular project status, budget, risk, and performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.
* Foster collaboration across the Data Platform Team and associated departments.
