Job Description

Don’t Just Find Bugs. Build the Shield.

At etalytics, we develop AI-powered energy management solutions that help industrial companies reduce energy consumption, costs, and CO₂ emissions. Our software platform etaONE® connects complex energy systems, analyzes data in real time, and unlocks efficiency potential through intelligent optimization.

Join the revolution in AI-driven energy intelligence! As a working Student, you won’t just test software: you’ll help ensure the reliability of a sophisticated IoT/AI platform used in real industrial environments. If you’re someone who hates doing things twice and loves automating everything, this is your chance to dive deep into a complex product and build your own testing tools with real impact.

Hours: 14-20 per week

Location: Darmstadt, Germany

Tasks

  • Drive Automation: You won’t just run manual tests; you’ll help us build and scale a world-class automation framework using Playwright, TypeScript, and Jest.
  • Creative Engineering: Take charge of our unique Python-ffmpeg pipeline to automatically generate platform visuals, turning code into automated user documentation.
  • Deep-Dive Testing: Support the entire lifecycle by performing functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure our AI energy insights are always spot-on.
  • Collaborate as a Peer: Work closely with developers and product managers. We’re not looking for someone who simply agrees. We value people who contribute their own ideas to improve the product.

Requirements

  • The Mindset: You are a self-taught problem solver. You don’t wait for a ticket to be assigned; you see a gap and fill it. You enjoy the 'detective work' of finding out why something broke.
  • The Context: You are currently studying Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and are looking for an internship (full-time, 3 months).
  • The Skills: You have foundations in JavaScript/TypeScript and are comfortable working in an IDE and a general development environment. Python and basic Git knowledge are a significant plus.
  • Languages: You are fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.

Benefits

  • Purpose-driven work: Support industrial companies in becoming more efficient and sustainable
  • Flexibility: Hybrid working with home office options and flexible working hours
  • Team spirit: A supportive, collaborative environment with plenty of room for exchange and cooperation
  • Community: Regular team events and shared activities
  • Excellent development opportunities and a high level of personal responsibility in a growing team

Our office is located in Darmstadt near Frankfurt am Main, conveniently located with good connections to public transport, the motorway, and the airport. Become part of a highly motivated, international team!
