We are currently seeking a Relationship Therapist who is passionate about improving the emotional well-being of our clients through evidence-based therapeutic approaches. This role involves providing relationship-based treatment services to families, couples, and individuals in various relationship structures.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, candidates must have a Master's degree from an accredited institution in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field. A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is preferred, and candidates should be able to pass the New York State Diagnostic License Exam within three months of joining the team.
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are strongly preferred, as is the ability to work with underserved communities. Previous experience using computerized appointment scheduling systems and electronic medical record (EMR) systems is also an asset.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual who can handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, as well as strong communication skills in both writing and verbal form. They should be detail-oriented and outcome-driven, with a strong work ethic and commitment to providing high-quality care.
Essential duties and responsibilities include conducting evidence-based therapeutic sessions in person or via telehealth, assessing and developing treatment plans, and providing conflict resolution and crisis intervention when needed. The Relationship Therapist will also ensure all clinical notes and client information are updated and accurate within the current EHR system, and they will provide clinical supervision to support professional development and client well-being.
The compensation for this position is based on years of experience and credentials, with rates set to ensure fair and competitive pay. The working conditions include a professional work environment with on-site computer, desk, chair, and office supplies, and the physical requirements include standing, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds as needed.
