Job Description

AutoGyro GmbH is the global market leader in gyroplane manufacturing, headquartered in Hildesheim, Germany. With more than 3,000 aircraft delivered worldwide, AutoGyro stands for innovation, precision, and safety in light aviation.

With us, you will have the opportunity to actively shape and further develop the production of our gyroplanes. As a Process Engineer (m/f/d), you will work close to the shopfloor and act as a key interface between Production, Engineering and Quality.

Your focus will be on analysing and improving a broad range of manufacturing processes, requiring a hands-on, all-round engineering mindset. This includes composite tooling and process design, CNC machining, electronics and avionics manufacturing, welding and metal fabrication, as well as aircraft and component assembly.

You go where value is created: directly onto the shopfloor.

Alongside an exciting and impactful role, we offer a dynamic environment with short decision-making paths and a highly motivated team. At our headquarters in Hildesheim, we also provide free daily lunch.

Please note: we can only consider applications and CVs submitted in English.

Tasks

  • Analyse, optimise and standardise production processes across multiple manufacturing domains (composites, machining, assembly, electronics, metal fabrication)
  • Identify waste and inefficiencies and implement sustainable improvement measures (Lean, continuous improvement)
  • Conduct structured process analyses (e.g. value stream mapping, root cause analysis, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
  • Actively support production in day-to-day operations when dealing with process deviations and disruptions
  • Develop and maintain standards, work instructions and process documentation
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality and Production to ensure robust and stable processes
  • Contribute to FMEA activities and support the industrialisation of new products and processes
  • Support prototype builds and ensure smooth transition into series production
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to process stability and efficiency (e.g. lead time, scrap rate, OEE)
  • Support the introduction and further development of manufacturing technologies and equipment

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (e.g. Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a clear shopfloor focus
  • Broad understanding of manufacturing processes; experience in several of the following areas is highly desirable: composites, CNC machining, electronics/avionics manufacturing, welding/metal fabrication, assembly
  • Proven experience in analysing and optimising production processes
  • Solid knowledge of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement; Six Sigma is an advantage
  • Strong hands-on mentality and willingness to work directly on the shopfloor
  • Structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Confident use of MS Office; experience with ERP systems (e.g. ABAS) is an advantage
  • German language skills at minimum C1 level (full professional proficiency in spoken and written communication)
  • English language skills at minimum C1 level (full professional proficiency in an international environment)
  • Chinese language skills are desirable

Benefits

  • Dynamic working environment with the global leader in gyroplane manufacturing.
  • Comprehensive onboarding and continuous training opportunities.
  • Supportive and international team culture.
  • Flexible working hours (flexitime) to support work–life balance.
  • Corporate fitness programme (Hansefit).
  • Employer contributions to the pension scheme.
  • Employee discounts via our corporate benefits platform.
  • Regular company events that strengthen team spirit.
  • Free daily lunch at our headquarter.
  • Overtime compensation and additional paid leave for special occasions.
  • Unique aviation experience – including a gyrocopter sightseeing flight.

Are you ready for an exciting career in aviation? Then become part of AutoGyro GmbH.

We are the global market leader in the development, production, and sales of gyroplanes, working with partners in more than 40 countries worldwide. Our headquarters and production facility are located at Hildesheim Airport. With state-of-the-art technologies, a high level of in-house manufacturing, and a clear vision for sustainable aviation, we actively shape the future of flight.
