Backend Developer: Seeking Small Projects
Welcome to our team of backend developers. We are looking for projects that are too small to justify a full-time hire, but too annoying to ignore or leave alone. These could include broken scripts, APIs that barely work, scrapers that stop working, data pipelines that occasionally fail, Docker setups that stray from the expected norm, and even the brittle integration that has been on the "to-do" list for over a year. Our environment is comfortable with existing systems, as we thrive on resolving the immediate problems and cleaning up the worst of the messes. Here's what we're looking for:
- Go is our main language, and Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, APIs, and automation are familiar territory. We have a track record of handling messy systems without being intimidated.
- When presented with a problem, you'll tell us straight whether you can take it on. Our goal is to quickly fix the immediate issue and clean up the worst of it while you're there.
- Send us the actual problem, and whatever context you have. We'll let you know straightaway whether we can handle it.
- Our minimum rate is per hour.
