Joining Proxima Fusion
At Proxima Fusion, you will have the opportunity to shape the architecture of a fusion power plant, solve some of the most complex engineering challenges, and design real hardware with a pragmatic, fast-moving team from all over the world. You will also be involved in the Alpha and Stellaris projects, where plasma physics, magnets, cryogenics, and heating work at the edge of each discipline's capability.
Your Impact
Joining Proxima Fusion means being part of a team dedicated to advancing the most mature fusion technology, Wendelstein 7-X, through two next-generation machines: Alpha and Stellaris. Your role will involve ensuring interfaces, design criteria, load cases, and uncertainties are correctly defined to facilitate quick and accurate engineering design. You will understand the interactions between systems to minimize unintended consequences of key architectural decisions. You will also tackle integration challenges, simplify complex systems, and harness potential opportunities that affect the Alpha architecture.
