We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our team in our New York City office. This role will be responsible for developing, designing, and implementing robust applications using modern technologies.
Responsibilities:
1. Backend Development:
- Work closely with the front-end team to design and implement RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
- Develop scalable and efficient backend systems that integrate with front-end applications.
- Optimize database queries for improved performance and scalability.
- Ensure secure and reliable backend operations.
2. Front End Development:
- Collaborate with designers to create wireframes and prototypes.
- Develop and maintain user interfaces using React or Angular.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure consistent user experience across different devices.
- Ensure fast and stable front-end performance through efficient code and well-organized components.
3. Full Stack Development:
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the software industry.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of the team's repository.
4. Project Management:
- Work within tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges encountered.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Create detailed documentation for backend systems and APIs.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports and presentations.
- Ensure proper documentation and version control practices are followed.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred for senior developers.
2. Programming Languages:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
- Experience with TypeScript, Angular, or React is a plus.
3. Database Knowledge:
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of data modeling and database normalization.
4. Frameworks and Libraries:
- Familiarity with popular front-end frameworks like Vue.js or Angular.
- Knowledge of Node.js, Express.js, or Spring Boot for backend development.
5. Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in software development.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
