Als Lead AI Engineer bei gocomo übernimmst du die Verantwortung für die KI-Systeme hinter alfred, unserem Enterprise-SaaS-Produkt für Social-Media-Analytics. alfred verarbeitet monatlich tausende Nutzeranfragen über eine konversationelle KI-Oberfläche und analysiert dabei mehr als 750.000 Inhalte aus verschiedenen Plattformen.

In einem kleinen, interdisziplinären Team (5–10 Personen) bist du die zentrale Ansprechperson für alle KI-relevanten Themen und verantwortest den gesamten Lebenszyklus der Systeme – von Architektur und Prototyping bis hin zu produktivem Deployment und Monitoring. Du arbeitest eng mit Frontend-, Daten- und Infrastruktur-Teams zusammen, um Features zu entwickeln, die direkt auf die Bedürfnisse unserer Kund:innen einzahlen.

Deine Aufgaben

• Entwicklung und Betrieb eines produktionsreifen RAG-Agents (FastAPI) zur Verarbeitung von Kundenanfragen sowie Routing an spezialisierte Sub-Agenten (Text2SQL, API-Integrationen, Vektorsuche über Social-Media-Daten)
• Konzeption, Implementierung und Skalierung eines multimodalen Data-Enrichment-Services zur automatisierten Kategorisierung und Annotation von Social-Media-Inhalten (LLMs, Computer Vision, Audio-Transkription)
• Aufbau und Weiterentwicklung des Alfred Hub als kundenorientierte Plattform für KI-gestützte Workflows, insbesondere zur Kombination von Datenabruf und Annotation
• Treffen und Verantwortung von Architekturentscheidungen in den Bereichen Retrieval, Routing, Evaluation und Deployment sowie Definition der technischen KI-Strategie im Unternehmen
• Steuerung des gesamten KI-Produktlebenszyklus: Anforderungsdefinition, Entwicklung, Deployment, Monitoring und kontinuierliche Optimierung basierend auf Nutzerfeedback
• Fachliche und disziplinarische Führung eines Junior AI Engineers, inklusive technischer Anleitung, Code-Reviews und Förderung der individuellen Weiterentwicklung

Dein Profil

• Du hast nachweisbare Erfahrung in der Entwicklung und im produktiven Einsatz von RAG-Systemen oder AI-Agents (über Prototypen hinaus)
• Du verfügst über sehr gute Python-Kenntnisse und hast praktische Erfahrung mit FastAPI
• Du bist mit gängigen LLM-APIs (z. B. OpenAI, Anthropic oder vergleichbaren) bestens vertraut, insbesondere in den Bereichen Prompt Engineering, Function Calling sowie im Umgang mit Kosten- und Latenzoptimierung
• Du fühlst dich wohl damit, den gesamten Stack eines KI-Systems zu verantworten – von Datenpipelines über Modellintegration und API-Design bis hin zu Deployment und Observability
• Du verfügst über fließende Deutschkenntnisse auf C2-Niveau sowie sehr gute Englischkenntnisse
• Idealerweise bringst du zusätzlich Erfahrung mit multimodalen KI-Systemen (z. B. Computer Vision), modernen AI-Frameworks und Tools aus unserem Stack sowie im Bereich Social Media Analytics mit; Erfahrung in dynamischen, schnell wachsenden Teams ist ebenfalls ein Plus
