Early Investment Internship at HV Capital
Join HV Capital’s Early Investment Team in Munich or Berlin, Germany. This role offers you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the venture capital industry, working closely with senior investors and contributing to investment decisions that could lead to future career opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess investment opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, product and customer insights, KPI analysis, and financial modelling.
- Sourcing promising companies through proactive networking and meeting founders to evaluate team quality and execution potential.
- Develop expertise in specific sectors, understanding key trends, and translating insights into actionable investment strategies.
- Support deals from initial screening through investment decisions, including preparing investment memos, conducting expert calls, creating cap tables, and participating in Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs).
- Stay close to portfolio companies, track performance, and identify early warning signs, inflection points, and areas for support.

- Strong analytical and research skills, with a data-driven, pragmatic approach and attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in startups, technology, business models, and what makes great companies succeed.
- Clear communication and ownership: able to turn complex information into actionable insights and confidently engage with founders and colleagues.
- Financial literacy, including comfort with spreadsheets, business metrics, unit economics, and basic accounting.
- Proficiency with AI tools: expected to use them every day and to do the same.
