Job Description

Faircado is an award-winning tech company building the discovery layer for second-hand fashion in Europe. Our app brings 150M+ items from 60+ partners across 12 European markets into a single place to search, discover, and buy. We care about growth, because we care about having a positive impact on society and the planet. We're VC-backed, with real traction in real markets and a fast-moving, ambitious team.

We have a clear thesis: second-hand should feel more effortless, inspiring, and personal than shopping new, and AI is the unlock that makes that possible. The broad direction is set: deeper discovery, smarter personalisation, and rethinking what an AI-native shopping experience looks like in a market that's finally ready for it. For the details: that’s where you come in.

Tasks

You’re our first dedicated product leader. You own the roadmap, decide what gets built, and ship it with a tight engineering team and a product designer. You report directly to the CEO.

  • Define and execute the product roadmap, from discovery and onboarding to search, personalisation, checkout, and beyond
  • Run discovery: talk to users, dig into data, prototype with AI tools before committing engineering cycles
  • Drive launches end-to-end, coordinating across engineering, design, and marketing
  • Own outcomes (retention, GMV, conversion, viral growth), not just outputs
  • Shape the growth loops that make this company compound

Requirements

We value substance over titles. Whether you’re early-career and operating above your level, or a seasoned Head of Product looking for a greenfield challenge, what matters is what you’ve shipped and how you think.

  • 4+ years of experience shipping product with a background in B2C, e-commerce, marketplaces, or consumer apps
  • AI-fluent. You use Claude, Cursor, Copilot or similar to prototype and move faster. Your first instinct is to ask what AI unlocks at the product layer. This is the defining trait of the role.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, blank-canvas problems, and a wide mandate
  • Obsessed with user behaviour. You validate rather than guess.
  • Proven ability to work with lean teams and move fast without sacrificing quality

Bonus, but not required:

  • You can architect AI/ML features yourself, or spec them precisely enough that engineers don’t have to guess.
  • Experience with Gen-Z products, social shopping, or mobile-first marketplaces is a plus.

Benefits

  • Greenfield ownership: shape the rituals, the roadmap, the team, and the product itself
  • Real traction: 12 European markets, 150M+ items, users who come back
  • Hard problems at the intersection of AI and consumer commerce, at real European scale
  • A mission that holds up under scrutiny. Sustainability runs through the product and the business model end to end.
  • Competitive salary, employee stock options, Urban Sports Club membership, and wellness benefits

Based at the heart of Berlin (Checkpoint Charlie), this role is in-office - we've found we do our best thinking and shipping together, and we want to protect that at this stage. We offer flexibility within that (start times, occasional remote days, parental needs) and are happy to talk through what works for you.

If this sounds like your kind of problem, here’s what to expect:

  1. Submit your CV (portfolio or case studies welcome, not required)
  2. Initial interview: your experience and thinking, including technical depth
  3. Technical assessment: deep-dive into your technical skills
  4. Cultural fit: alignment on values and vision

A note on applying

If you're reading this and wondering whether you're "enough" for the role - please apply. We know great product people come from non-linear paths, and we'd rather hear from you and figure it out together than miss you. We're committed to building a team that reflects the users we serve.
