Position Overview
Are you a graduate with a background in logistics management, business administration, or engineering who is eager to join the fast-growing fulfillment center industry? If so, we're inviting you to apply for a Graduate Operations Supervisor position at Picnic, a leading company operating in the EU's largest automated fulfillment center (FC). Located in Oberhausen, this role will allow you to take on responsibility in supply chain management while driving operational excellence and staying informed about key performance indicators (KPIs).
Responsibilities
- Leadership of a team of over 100 Shoppers, ensuring daily performance by motivating and inspiring them to a positive workplace culture.
- Supervising daily operations in a fully automated fulfillment center, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient integration of automation and manual processes.
- Identifying and optimizing processes, leveraging data to continuously enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Monitoring and verifying team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), making informed decisions based on real-time data.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical issues and maintain the smooth operation of the supply chain.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in coaching teams, likely through internships, volunteering, or sports.
- Fluent in both German and English, with excellent communication skills for cross-functional international teams.
- Comfortable working with a shift system (including Saturdays), as the supervisor position requires.
- A passion for questioning processes and leading process optimization efforts.
- A willingness to engage in operational work, including handling the operating environment to meet KPIs.
