Your Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Gridfuse, you will be at the forefront of this transformation, designing and building the systems that connect our platform to the renewable energy assets and turn them into a coordinated Virtual Power Plant (VPP). Your work will influence how batteries, wind turbines, and solar plants respond to energy-market and grid conditions, ensuring a reliable and efficient power system.
Your Impact
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building distributed control systems that coordinate fleets of batteries, wind turbines, and solar plants. You will translate complex energy-market and grid requirements into reliable software behavior, ensuring that your code is resilient, observably, and scalable. Your services will operate continuously in production, and you will take your services from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and operation.
What We Need From You
At Gridfuse, we look for individuals who are passionate about software engineering and have several years of experience building and operating production backend systems. You should have experience designing and architecting distributed systems, and a "you build it, you run it" mindset. You should be familiar with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes, and have strong backend experience with Go or another modern programming language.
You should also have experience with asynchronous / event-driven systems, NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or MQTT, and be comfortable communicating clearly and confidently in English. You should have a solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with InfluxDB or Timescale.
