Role Overview:
As a Senior Web Developer, you will join our team as a Full Stack Developer, contributing to the creation and maintenance of our web applications. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, testing, and implementing new features and enhancing existing functionalities. You will work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure seamless integration and efficient project delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of the applications, ensuring they are scalable and reliable.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and Implement New Features:
- Design and implement new features using the latest web technologies and frameworks.
- Work on both frontend and backend development to ensure a cohesive user experience across all platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code to meet project requirements.
2. Collaborate with Designers and Project Managers:
- Collaborate with designers to ensure that the web application designs are integrated seamlessly with the functional requirements.
- Work with project managers to manage timelines and ensure project milestones are met.
- Communicate effectively to stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
3. Test and Debug Code:
- Conduct thorough unit and integration testing to ensure the application meets quality standards.
- Debug code effectively and provide clear solutions to issues encountered during development.
4. Enhance Existing Applications:
- Identify and implement performance improvements for existing applications to enhance user experience.
- Implement security measures to protect against vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
5. Optimize Performance:
- Analyze the application's performance and optimize it to improve load times and enhance user experience.
- Implement caching strategies and other performance optimization techniques.
6. Maintain and Improve Performance:
- Regularly update and maintain the application to ensure it remains secure and performs as expected.
- Continuously look for ways to improve the application's performance and scalability.
7. Document and Support:
- Write clear and concise documentation for new features and processes.
- Provide support to other developers and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
1. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java).
- Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js).
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Django.
- Strong understanding of database design and SQL.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
2. Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
3. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in web development.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
- Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js or Ruby on Rails.
