Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and executing strategies for complex AI deployments, from evaluation and proof-of-concept to design, development, and validation.
- Implementing plans by scoping the project, assembling a core support team, and formally kickstarting the project with customers.
- Developing a joint project schedule and supporting design-in efforts with technical collateral and tools.
- Facilitating engineering design reviews, resolving any blocking issues, and ensuring timely production deployment.
- Communicating issue status to customers and internal senior executive teams effectively.
- Working closely with engineering, operations, quality, product management, and sales teams to resolve technical and logistical issues.
- Organizing and leading complex technical discussions with a focus on software and hardware compatibility.
- Properly representing the urgency of issues and raising them as necessary.
- Regularly communicating executive-level program report status and key issues to management.
- Developing close relationships with customer development teams to find solutions to their issues creatively.
Qualifications for this role include:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- An impressive 8+ years of program/project management experience in a high-tech electronics industry, with a focus on complex customer programs.
- A proven record of managing significant and complex Data Center programs, especially with strategic customers with large Data Center deployments.
- Strong technical skills, including server development and data center qualification/deployment.
- Excellent leadership skills across diverse functional teams.
- A comprehensive understanding of the Data Center/Edge Cloud development/deployment environment.
- Fluent in both Japanese and English.
- Experience leading key strategic projects.
- A PMP, Scrum Master certification is highly desirable.
