Join the Scarlet Team as a Product Designer
As a Product Designer at Scarlet, you'll take on the challenge of turning complex regulatory work into user-friendly solutions. Your role will involve designing core workflows, creating clear product concepts, and collaborating with experts to improve product quality and delivery speed. You'll also help evolve Scarlet's design system to enhance overall product design effectiveness.
You'll have the opportunity to partner with product, engineering, and regulatory experts to ensure that solutions are effective and efficient. With a focus on autonomy, you'll be encouraged to experiment, learn, and push the boundaries of what product design can achieve. This position offers a wide range of responsibilities that will help you contribute to the success of our clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Own the design of core workflows and key product areas.
- Turn complex requirements into clear product concepts, prototypes, and interfaces.
- Partner with product, engineering, and regulatory experts to ship and improve solutions.
- Help evolve Scarlet's design system to improve product quality and delivery speed, including in code.
- Contribute to Scarlet's overall product design direction.
Required Qualifications
- A portfolio of shipped digital products demonstrating product judgement and visual craft.
- Experience leading complex product work from discovery through delivery.
- Experience designing, prototyping, or evolving design systems in code.
- Experience using research to inform product decisions.
- Experience working directly with users and cross-functional teams.
- Evidence of communicating complex ideas clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in health technology or another regulated industry.
Interview Process
Scarlet's interview process is designed to assess your skills and fit for the role. You can expect the following:
- Intro chat with Jono for 20 minutes.
- Take-home case-study submission for 45 minutes.
- Product and engineering chats with Johnny and Niclas for 1 hour.
- Culture fit chat with our co-founders James and Jamie for 30 minutes.
- Referencing & offer process.
Compensation: £80K – £120K • Offers Equity
