The Role of a Sales Development Representative at Canonical

The primary objective of a Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Canonical is to find customer projects that align with our product lines and spread the good name of Canonical across multiple industries and geographies. This involves collaborating with a regional sales and marketing team, presenting on booths at events and conferences, driving face-to-face marketing and sales opportunities, researching information about prospective customers, generating a multi-million pound pipeline, identifying prospects and market trends, helping define processes and policies for the team, and liaising with new and existing customers, setting up and attending meetings, and actively mapping accounts to identify new opportunities.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Handling inbound customer inquiries across email, phone, and chat, executing outbound sales and marketing campaigns, traveling to events and conferences worldwide presenting on booths and driving face-to-face marketing and sales opportunities, collaborating across multiple teams and senior stakeholders to drive results, working directly with marketing on campaigns, researching information about prospective customers, generating a multi-million pound pipeline, identifying prospects and market trends, helping define processes and policies for the team, liaising with new and existing customers, setting up and attending meetings, actively mapping accounts to identify new opportunities, accurately creating, updating, maintaining, and nurturing leads on global opportunities.
