We are a leading e-commerce agency for winemakers and are committed to transforming the wine industry sustainably. We are seeking a dedicated freelance support to build Shopify shops that follow our established standards and processes. We will provide you with a detailed standard and a clear process to follow, ensuring seamless integration of our standard into each Shopify shop throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Builds Shopify shops with a frontend following our wireframes and theme-building library.
- Follows a standard that is provided, without having to start from scratch each time.
- Sets up a clean placeholder logic that does not involve hard-coding, and sets up checkout and shipping logic according to our guidelines.
- Prepares and documents lists of open points and placeholders for PM, content, and IT.
Requirements
- 20+ live-built Shopify shops, preferably in the wine, food, or lifestyle sectors.
- Proficiency in Shopify, including Liquid fundamentals and working with customizable sections and blocks.
- Comfortable with Git and GitHub, version control, branches, commits, and pull requests.
- Has a CRO (Customer Journey Optimization) mindset, understanding of trust signals, social proof, and customer journey perspectives.
- Ensures that the results run on actual devices.
- Works within the given scope and follows Done criteria.
- Can identify and report on scope issues early.
- Comfortable working with Claude (code).

1. Application:
- 3 compelling live-built Shopify shops, with a brief to describe your role and outcome for each one.
- Describing the last issue you resolved using Claude (code), along with the approach and outcome.
- Provide a rough estimation: how many hours would it take to build a standard Shopify shop following our wireframe, with all content delivered in a fixed format (e.g., drloosen.de, not multilingual)?
- Your standard hourly rate.
- Optional: link to your GitHub profile, so we can see your workflow and clean versioning practices.
2. Meeting: A brief online meeting to get to know each other.
3. Probationary Project: A standard Shopify shop built according to our wireframe, with an estimate of hours for the project and a sample of our scope and change requests to see your approach to them.
4. Framework Agreement: If both parties agree, we will enter into a framework agreement with clear rules and confidentiality.
