Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated individual to join our growing tech team as a Senior Software Engineer. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, this role involves designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions that will drive innovation within our product portfolio. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of success in the tech industry, skilled in leading complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor junior engineers in the development of advanced software solutions.
- Design and implement scalable and efficient software architectures that align with our company’s mission and business objectives.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop robust and reliable software components that are scalable and maintainable.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the software ecosystem to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Be responsible for the delivery of high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Continuously improve the software development process and methodologies to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer in a tech company environment.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience with at least one of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript, React, or Node.js.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and a solid understanding of software testing and debugging.
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and a deep understanding of network protocols and architectures.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and communicate technical requirements and solutions.
- Experience with cloud-based development environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with cloud-native technologies is a plus.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., Master’s in Computer Science).
- Experience in leading and managing software development projects with a proven track record of successful delivery.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices) and familiarity with container orchestration tools.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, GitLab) and a solid understanding of DevOps principles.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and a strong understanding of CI/CD best practices.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and a solid understanding of Scrum or Kanban practices.
