As a Senior Software Engineer at Planet, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the software infrastructure that powers our mission-critical services. You will work closely with the engineering and product teams to identify and address technical challenges and opportunities, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of our software systems. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of our products and services, and help us continue to deliver innovative solutions to customers around the world.
You will have a passion for software engineering and a deep understanding of the latest technologies and best practices. You will have a strong background in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++, and experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS or Azure. You will be proficient in version control systems like Git and have experience with system-level operations and administration. Additionally, you will have experience working with databases such as MySQL or MongoDB, and be familiar with containerization technologies like Docker.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Planet, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative engineering team, working closely with other engineers and product managers to design and implement new features and capabilities. You will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable, and testable code that is scalable and resilient to future changes. You will work with other engineers to ensure that our software systems are reliable, secure, and performant, and you will be able to provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers on the team.
