Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our team in our state-of-the-art production facility. This role is responsible for driving innovation and quality in our baby sleep products and clothing. You will work closely with designers, engineers, and suppliers to create high-quality, sustainable, and user-friendly products that meet the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of market trends, consumer needs, and product development.
- Coordinate the development, prototyping, and testing of new products, optimizing production processes, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Create and implement quality control processes, manage product approvals, and develop testing procedures to ensure our products meet all necessary standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain long-term relationships, negotiate technical requirements, and ensure the timely delivery of new product concepts.
- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and standards, and develop strategies to ensure our products are safe and sustainable.
- Ensure that the quality, safety, and sustainability of our products are continuously improved by analyzing customer feedback, returns, and complaints, and incorporating these insights into our product development.
- Work closely with other departments such as Product Management, Procurement, Quality Control, and Supply Chain to ensure a seamless flow of information throughout the product development process.
Requirements
- Studied in Textile or Clothing Technology, Product Development, or a similar field
- At least three years of practical experience in product development, textile technology, or quality management of textile products
- Adept at analyzing product details, materials, and processing techniques, as well as customer needs
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, ideally with experience in product safety and certifications
- Proficient in design software (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office
- Native fluency in both English and German
- A strong work ethic, creativity, initiative, and enthusiasm for continuous product improvement
