We are seeking an experienced Clinical Data Team Lead to join our expert team at the forefront of pharmaceutical and biotech innovation. This role is ideal for someone passionate about driving operational excellence and making meaningful contributions to organizational performance. As a Clinical Data Team Lead, you will lead data management activities for individual projects or provide support to the lead data manager. You will act as a liaison between departments and clients, communicate with management and clients, and develop and deliver study-specific training for data management project staff. Additionally, you will monitor study metrics, assist with business development activities, and mentor junior level staff. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification, as well as previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply relevant components of project protocols to daily tasks and direct others in their application
- Act as a liaison to Project Leads and clients, and communicate with management regarding all data management activities within their studies
- Develop and maintain project documentation files and deliverables following CDM guidelines
- Develop and provide study-specific training for data management project staff
- Prepare project-specific status reports for management, Project Leads, and clients on a regular basis and monitor study metrics
- Participate in business development activities by assisting with bid preparation and representing data management at bid defense meetings, and assist with the Contract Modification process
- Mentor junior level staff on all associated tasks within a study
- Assist with the administrative and financial management of allocated projects and perform all assigned data management activities independently and efficiently, with attention to quality
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification
- Previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the role (comparable to 2+ years)
- Equivalent experience, including a combination of appropriate education, training, and relevant experience, may also be considered
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to apply knowledge and skills in a highly organized fashion while adhering to regulatory guidelines, SOPs, and client expectations
- Ability to use interactive computer programs
- Good written/verbal communication skills with a strong command of English language and grammar; excellent organizational, analytical/problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work productively with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with clinical data and client's proprietary data
- Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven flexibility and adaptability
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed
- Ability to train and direct study teams
- Ability to set and meet timelines or recognize and schedule changes in response to project demands
- Ability to mentor and direct junior staff on all associated tasks within a study
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment
- Occasional travel to site locations, with occasional domestic and international travel required
