Senior Product Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Analyst to join our Analytics team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide data insights that drive significant impact and guide strategic initiatives. You will be deeply embedded within the Host Camp, a small, cross-functional group that spans across both Product and Operations, to truly understand the problems faced by our hosts. You will collaborate closely with team leads to develop strategies and identify growth opportunities through a detailed analysis of how people actually use Hipcamp. Your role will ensure that the team is prioritizing the most impactful projects, ensuring that all decisions are data-driven and informed by user experience feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth data analysis and research to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate closely with team leads to develop and refine strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Perform user research and usability testing to understand the actual usage of Hipcamp and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Develop comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that product enhancements are based on validated user feedback and data-driven insights.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for product improvements and feature developments.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new product features based on market trends and customer needs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies, ensuring that the analytics tools and techniques used are efficient and effective.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to inform and enhance marketing strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Assist in the creation of a data-driven culture within the team, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Product Manager, or similar role.
- Proficiency in data analysis, including statistical methods and tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of product development life cycle and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
