Finance Manager Position
Position Overview
As a Finance Manager, your primary responsibility is to independently manage the daily financial accounting for our property companies and holding companies, ensuring compliance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and Luxembourg GAAP. You are also required to prepare and submit VAT returns on time and provide support for optimisation of financial processes and systems. You will also contribute to diverse and exciting projects within the finance department, leveraging your specialist knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage day-to-day financial accounting for property companies and holding companies
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and Luxembourg GAAP
- Prepare and submit VAT returns on time
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare and support the annual tax documentation for tax advisers
- Support the optimisation of financial processes and systems
- Contribute to diverse and exciting projects in the finance department, bringing your ideas and specialist knowledge to bear
Required Skills and Experience
- University degree in a business-related subject, specialized in accounting, or a commercial apprenticeship with more than three years' professional experience; further training, such as a chartered accountant, would be advantageous
- In-depth knowledge of standard accounting software, preferably DATEV or Business Central
- A passion for working in a dynamic environment and the ability to maintain an overview even when managing a wide range of tasks
- A strong aptitude for numbers and the ability to quickly grasp interrelationships
- A conscientious, structured, and results-oriented approach to work
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Fluency in spoken and written German at C2 level and English at B2 level
