We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for our established mid-sized construction company specializing in environmental and process engineering. This role is pivotal in advancing a growing market segment in the 4th stage of wastewater treatment and solid material removal, with a focus on the European and Swiss markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a growing market segment in the 4th stage of wastewater treatment and solid material removal, targeting Europe and Switzerland.
- Engage with customers throughout the entire process, from project conception to commissioning, including the preparation of tender documents and negotiating contracts.
- Develop and present proposals for technical solutions, conduct negotiations, and support the application process in the water treatment sector.
- Collaborate with clients, planners, and engineers to develop tailored solutions and actively participate in team-based projects.
- Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, process engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in the water treatment sector, either as an engineer or planner.
- Knowledge of public procurement processes and experience with the VOD and HOAI phases.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to bring technical and business expertise to consulting and market development.
- Fluent in both German and English, especially for international operations.
- Strong communication skills, team-oriented, business-oriented thinking, initiative, and a desire to work in a small, culturally-engaged team.
- Willing to travel within Europe (approximately 25% travel).
