Job Description

Your tasks

  • You support the evaluation and integration of modern AI tools into the software development workflow, with a focus on practical developer productivity gains.
  • You help prototype AI-supported workflows for code review, merge request feedback, and developer automation within our existing tooling landscape.
  • You contribute to building secure and reproducible environments for AI coding agents, including containerized or cloud-based setups for safe experimentation.
  • You assist in evaluating technical options, implementing small integrations, and documenting findings for engineering and infrastructure stakeholders.
  • You collaborate with software engineers and infrastructure teams to design and test the solutions you develop.

Requirements

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, IT security, DevOps, or a related field.
  • You have strong programming skills in Python or similar languages and feel confident working with developer tooling and automation scripts.
  • You are interested in AI-assisted software development, developer experience, and modern engineering workflows.
  • You have a basic understanding of software development infrastructure, including CI/CD, version control, containers, and cloud environments.
  • You have a structured and hands-on working style, with the ability to explore new tools critically and communicate trade-offs clearly.
  • You are fluent in English; German is an asset.
  • The job is mostly done on-site, so ideally you live in/close to Munich.
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with developer platforms and automation tooling, such as GitHub or GitLab APIs, merge or pull request workflows, and AI-assisted software engineering tools.
    • Familiarity with secure development environments and pragmatic prototyping, including Docker, sandboxing, cloud-based setups, network policies, and developer productivity workflows.
