Hey everyone,

I’m really stuck and could use some honest advice.

I joined a service-based company (Virtusa) about 8 months ago. The first \~5 months were proper training, but after that… nothing. I’ve basically been idle. No real project, no actual work experience, just waiting.

To not completely waste time, I’ve been trying to improve myself — doing DSA, building some projects, and starting to learn system design. But the reality is, on paper, I still have *zero real industry experience*.

The worst part is the constant anxiety. I feel like I could be laid off anytime because I’m not contributing to any project. Every day feels like I’m just sitting and waiting for something bad to happen.

I’ve been applying to other jobs aggressively, even with referrals, but I’m not getting callbacks. That’s making me question everything — my skills, my resume, my approach.

Financially and career-wise, this is not where I wanted to be. I was aiming for at least 10 LPA, but right now I’m stuck at 5 LPA with no growth in sight.

My biggest confusion:
