Location: Rome/Milan - Hybrid

THE ROLE OVERVIEW
We are hiring a senior project finance manager to lead the structuring and execution of financing for a major pipeline of solar projects in Italy. This role will take ownership of project finance transactions and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure bankable, executable financing structures that support investment decisions and project delivery.
TASKS
- Lead the structuring and execution of non-recourse/limited recourse project finance transactions for solar PV projects in Italy.
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and advisors.
- Prepare and review financial models, ensuring bankability and alignment with investment committee requirements.
- Coordinate and manage due diligence processes (technical, legal, insurance, tax).
- Negotiate and support execution of financing documentation (term sheets, facility agreements, security packages).
- Work closely with development, EPC, legal, tax, and asset management teams to optimise project structures.
- Support PPA structuring and revenue optimisation strategies.
- Contribute to portfolio-level financing strategies and refinancing initiatives.
- Provide internal reporting and support investment decision-making processes.
PROFILE
- Degree in finance, economics, business administration, or engineering; an MBA or CFA is a plus.
- 6–10+ years of relevant experience in project finance, ideally within renewable energy or infrastructure in Italy.
- Strong understanding of the Italian renewable energy regulatory and financing environment.
- Proven track record of closing project finance transactions in solar or comparable infrastructure sectors.
- Advanced financial modelling skills (Excel-based project finance models).
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
- Structured, analytical, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently.
